WE CAN AT LEAST MAKE A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE.
WE CAN LIVE WITHOUT THEIR MUSIC, BUT THEY CAN’T KEEP LIVING LIKE THIS.
LETS STOP WATCHING SM’S CHANNEL ON YT. LET’S UNFOLLOW SM’S TWITTER, FB, ANYTHING. WE CAN DO THIS
TREND #STOPSMENT EVERYWHERE
I KNOW YOU CARE AS MUCH AS I DO. FIGHTING
(this will probably get no attention. ppl may laugh at me. bc fans are a strong group, but alot of us are weak in mind. we should remeber that these idols aren’t our objects as well, and if we know that they’re treated in injustice, shouldn’t we take action?)

ATTENTION EVEN IF YOU AREN’T A KPOP FAN: This Korean entertainment company is disgusting and should be shut down, it is what I woulf consider a “slave company”. The celebrities under this company are starved with extreme dieting practices, are forced to practice and perform even with injuries(broken fingers, back problems, torn muscles, etc.). The company confiscated their phones, and some haven’t seen their families in YEARS. Not only that but the celebrities and trainees are often hit if they do something against this company’s wishes. They’re overworked and paid extremely little, please, reblog and post this because NOBODY should feel so self-entitled over another person to control them and abuse them the way this company does. Celebrities have tried to stand up to them themselves before but are now banned from many Korean variety shows, more specifically the group JYJ which had filed a law suit against this company, and former Super Junior member Hangeng, who was forced to leave after he lost the case. This is inhumane, this company needs to realize that the celebrities under their name are humans They have rights, and are not objects, and SM does not own them. PLEASE reblog this, and post it on other sites as well. Even something that seems as small as this can go a long way. Thank you so much for reading this.

Please you guys. Let’s really stop them.

This perfectly summarizes why I love the Simpsons and hate Family Guy.

Yup.

So this.

I watched that episode with my family and I could just feel how uncomfortable everyone was. Honestly, it was a really jarring, unpleasant episode.

Homer is a terrible dad. So is Peter. But Homer’s saving grace has always been that he tries—he’s bad at it and he fucks it up a lot, but he loves his family and he wants to be better than he is.

One of my favorite Homer moments is in “Diatribe of a Mad Housewife.” Tl;dr Marge writes a steamy romance novel starring herself and Ned, and when Homer finds out, he chases down Ned and, rather than attack him, asks him to teach him how to be a better husband.

There’s some part of his stupid self that wants to do better.

I never got that impression with Peter. Instead, the family has gotten more and more abusive towards Meg. It’s really unsettling for me when I started realizing that’s what happens sometimes in abusive families. Abusers sometimes single out one child to abuse, and quite often the other family members take the abuser’s side. After all, it’s easier to side with an abuser than to run the risk of becoming the target yourself.

There’s never really a point where it seems like Peter cares at all that his shitty behavior impacts his family. It actually seems to have gotten worse over the years. He expects everyone to clean up his messes because that’s always what happens; there’s really no reason for him not to be shitty.

And it’s easy to see how Meg is affected. She doesn’t have much of a character, really, because so much her screen time is devoted to being abused. The bits of character development all seem to hinge on her being this sad, neglected person who’s trying her best but never really gets any help from anyone. Quite the opposite; there have been a lot of episodes where her family sabotages any attempts to be herself.

It can be easy to forget how awful this behavior is when the only context is the show itself (frankly, everyone on Family Guy is kind of terrible). Seeing it played against the Simpsons, who are a flawed and dysfunctional but ultimately loving family, was painful to watch.

The REAL Difference Between Dogs and Cats
OK, here we go,  the age old argument… “dogs are intelligent and loyal and cats are aloof, independent and uncaring.”  But is it true?
Not so much.
What it really comes down to is prey size and difficulty.
Dogs, like humans, are pack animals who have to work together and cooperate to survive.  They have a hierarchical structure among the pack to keep it organized and working, just like us.  There’s a boss, and cooperation among the pack or it wouldn’t hold together.  Their own size, number and location demand larger prey.  A wild dog or wolf couldn’t possibly take down a buffalo or wildebeest alone, so working as a unit is essential to their survival.
This is where man and dog first came together, hunting the same prey in the same place, and it didn’t take long before they both recognized the others abilities and slowly but naturally started working together toward the same end.  They already had language in common - if we do this together we all eat, but someone has to be in charge both to organize the hunt and make sure the catch is divided correctly.
Cats, on the other hand, have always been lone hunters.  Their prey is much smaller, abundant, and suited to both their needs and size.  They can do it alone.  The concept of someone in charge, or working together just doesn’t make sense.  One mouse isn’t enough for two, and they don’t need help to get it.  So, while they can be social, like to be together and occasionally even show dominance, that thing that’s deep within the dog’s DNA that tells them to work together and follow a leader just doesn’t exist in cats.  No need.  No language of cooperation ever developed because it wasn’t necessary.  In fact, grouping up on a mouse would only leave less food for each.  To them, “come here” is more likely to mean “come here so I can steal your dinner.”
Cats and humans came together because humans started to store grain, which brought mice and rats into their homes, which brought the cats, and their very independence was a part of what made them welcome.  They took care of the pests without supervision.  Perfect, they can stay.
The exception that proves the rule in this case is lions.  They hunt prey much larger than themselves due to availability, and their own size.  Because of this they live in pack-like “prides’ with one boss and cooperate in the hunt.
"Cats understand us, but just don’t care"  is misleading, if not just plain wrong.  While they have the ability to understand some of the things we try to communicate to them, and can even be taught tricks, they just don’t posses the language to make sense of "come here" or "sit."  It’s like the old Gary Larson cartoon "what dogs hear."

  © Gary Larson
Cats don’t actually meow to each other that much, but rely on body language to communicate amongst themselves, and it’s been observed that cats will vocalize to a human much more when that human doesn’t understands it’s body language.  Now who’s not listening?
I think that this is what’s lead to the misconception that cats understand but don’t care… they do communicate in a pretty complex way, display far more vocalizations than dogs do.  It’s just that “come” and “sit” don’t occur in their language, or even their DNA, so they react as we would when listening to an unknown language - in one ear and out the other.  It’s in their DNA, as much a part of their need to survive as a dog’s seeming over-interest in commands - or what we see as “loyalty.”
Any cat owner will tell you from years of observation that cats are no less loyal, loving or intelligent.  The fact that they don’t jump when called is a part of who and what they are, but not because they don’t care.  Not one bit.
